God expects Christians to abide by the same standards that we are proselytizing to the world through the Word of God and as witnesses of Christ Jesus. But there are times when many Christians forget this fact. Many forget that judgment first begins in the house of God, and He expects us to walk in honesty and love.
Having once been led astray by the doctrines of the Black Consciousness Movement, I was a practicing religious skeptic and non-believer who turned away from Jesus and denied His existence as the Son of God. I even promoted the abolition of Christianity and churches. However, I was saved from the stronghold of Satan and restored in the faith, which is in Jesus Christ. Now, it is up to me to walk in truth, and, as a Christian, I am not a sinner saved by grace. Instead, I have been saved from sin and death. The Word of God teaches that the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is everlasting life (Romans 6:23). Only through the blood of Jesus can we overcome sin. Our very nature as human beings would rather be contrary to godliness and goodness, which is why Jesus died to save us from the power of sin and Hell.
Many believers in the faith have been deceived by false preachers teaching the New Age doctrine that we cannot be delivered from sin, and we are only sinners saved by His grace. But it is not written that born again believers are all sinners saved by His grace. Ephesians 2:8-9 states, “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” Believers who know the truth of God’s Word are without excuse as the judgment of God is against all who sin against Him.
Often as a born again believer, when you speak against sin of any kind, some Christians will even look at you and call you self-righteous. But did not the Word of God say that in the last days, there are those who will be despisers of the good? It is imperative that they who call themselves born again Christians search the Holy Scriptures, because throughout the entire bible God condemns all sin, and He tells us to be holy. It is written, “For if God spared not the angels that sinned, but cast them down to hell, and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved unto judgment; And spared not the old world, but saved Noah the eighth person, a preacher of righteousness, bringing in the flood upon the world of the ungodly; And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an example unto those that after should live ungodly; And delivered just Lot, vexed with the filthy conversation of the wicked: (For that righteous man dwelling among them, in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;) The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities” (2 Peter 2:4-10).
The New Age Movement began to take root decades ago and today, the New Agers have infiltrated many churches. This is what the prophet Peter had to say about false teachers in the End of Days, “But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that brought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction. And many shall follow their pernicious ways; by reason of whom the way of truth shall be evil spoken of” (2 Peter 2:1-2). Peter said that false teachers would bring heretical teachings into the Church and deny the Lord who brought them, which implies that these teachers may have once known Jesus, were Christians, and even taught the truth until they began privately introducing teachings that were against the gospel of Christ. They knew Jesus once but denied Him, and now teach non-biblical doctrines to the people of God. They mixed the Word of God with lies, and caused many Christians to turn away from Jesus and turn to sin. Through the New Age Movement, the spirit of antichrist has gone out into the world. What we are witnessing today in many churches is the spirit of apostasy, which teaches a new brand of faith-doctrine, and this doctrine denies Jesus as the Son of God, His resurrection from the dead, and the Holy Ghost. Apostate churches are everywhere in these United States. God’s people should always search the scriptures so you won’t be fooled by the New Agers. If you believe that you are sitting under heretical or New Age teachings, then you should swiftly come out from among them and be separated from them before they lead you to Hell. For Satan himself is capable of transforming himself into an angel of light and his ministers into ministers of righteousness, who have infiltrated many churches and turned God’s people away from the truth (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). If you have the Holy Ghost and you study the Word of God, then the Spirit will give you discernment to know whether the minister speaks according to the Holy Scriptures or whether he/she speaks not according to the doctrines given to the Church by Jesus Himself.
Many Christians have fallen into Hell because of false preachers, New Age teachings, the Black Consciousness Movement (which is the black version of the New Age Movement denying that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh and is the Son of God), and by occult workers portraying themselves as ministers of Christ. Many witches have crept into the churches, including my own church. However, my pastor actually has a true relationship with Jesus and has the Holy Spirit, and therefore, she was able to recognize the workers of Satan and confront them whenever they came into the church in the past. This is why the saints need power and you get that power from the Holy Ghost who is able to keep you not only from sin but from the powers of darkness.
As born again believers, can we continue to live in sin and the grace of God still remains with us? It is through sin that Satan can actually enter into a follower of Jesus. Did not Satan enter into Judas Iscariot whom Jesus had called as one of His disciples, had loved as His own brother and had given His power to? Sins of unforgiveness, hatred, anger, sexual immorality, any kind of drug and alcohol addictions, deceitfulness, murder, incest, and so forth can cause demonic spirits to enter your house, set up a stronghold, and enter your body. It is also written, “When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished. Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first” (Matthew 12:43-45). We should not deceive ourselves. When born again saints sin, they grieve the Holy Spirit. The Word of God said, “And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. Let all bitterness, and wrath, and anger, and clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice: And be ye kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God for Christ’s sake hath forgiven you” (Ephesians 4:30-32).
I think Christians sometimes forget that we are commanded to be kind to one another. But today, kindness is a concept that is foreign to many people, including those in the faith. Today, we live in a society in which many people are all about themselves, including many saints. Many are narcissistic, unkind and rude, which is why Paul wrote the letter to the Ephesian Church commanding them to be kind to each other and to grieve not the Holy Spirit. The apostle John also wrote a letter to this same Ephesian Church many years later while in exile on the isle of Patmos because of the testimony of Jesus and the Word of God saying, “I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles, and are not, and have found them liars; and you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name’s sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lampstand from its place—unless you repent” (Revelation 2:2-5). All the seven churches that John had written to were not only actual churches that existed in Asia but also are representative of churches today. The Church, as the body of Christ, only exists because Jesus existed and poured out His Spirit upon those who believe on His name. Subsequently, many churches have turned apostate in my generation. The apostates have turned away from the truth of God’s Word, they deny the Holy Spirit, they deny Christ’s earthly existence two thousand years ago, and they portray a form of godliness while denying the power that comes along with it.
Even the prophet Paul when speaking about this last day generation (not his generation but my generation) wrote in a letter to Timothy, his brother in Christ, saying, “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self-control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasures rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its powers. And from such people turn away” (2 Timothy 3:1-5, NIV)! Many Christians don’t turn away, however. Instead, they are swept away by evil men, and many are in Hell today for the sins that they have committed while alive in the earth. For it is also written, “Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap” (Galatians 6:7). New Age ministers fail to teach the people that a man’s deeds follow him to the grave and beyond.
Understand that the real you is your soul and that real you lives beyond death! Whatever kind of person you are, your soul is the embodiment of that. If you are a liar, then that is who you really are as spirit and soul. If you are an adulterer, that is who you really are as both spirit and soul. If you were an unmerciful and hateful person in life, when your physical body dies you will still be an unmerciful and hateful person in the form of a spirit body. Every day, millions of people enter into Hell with unforgiveness, unkindness, deceit, etc., and many of these people were saved, were churchgoers, and were even Christians.
Even now some Christians don’t like to talk about sin and Hell or like for others to tell them about sin and Hell, but given the circumstances that we are witnessing on a grand scale with almost daily unjustified police shootings, Christian persecutions, terror attacks, drive-by shootings, domestic violence, serial killings, bank robberies, child pedophilia, incest, murders, suicides, drug overdoses, alcohol-induced fatal car crashes, feticide, infanticide, genocide, sectarian violence, witchcraft covens infiltrating churches and posing as Christians, sexual immorality of all kinds, etc., it is very necessary that God’s people who are born again of His Spirit teach about Hell and how not to end up there through the wages of sin. It is a very real place of unimaginable pain, regret, memory, and suffering where time itself ceases to exist. It is a place devoid of God’s love and presence. Satan has deceived many into Hell, and continues to deceive millions more. Every day, a soul across this country dies and goes there. Multiply one soul times the thousands of other souls that die in each state and you will get hundreds of thousands whose physical life expires and enter into eternity each day. We are without excuse that die in sin and end up in Hell. Judgment has already been set by God, and no man can change that. Not the New Agers. Not a new religion. Not a new bible. Not a new law. No one.
