Vintage Pro Sports LLC seeks to build privately funded Stadium in Oakland California
by Pat Freeman
For years many have railed against government subsidizing of professional football franchises. That out cry has usually fallen on death ears of elected officials because no one wants the stigma of losing a professional franchise on their watch. Most NFL teams have used the tremendous fan loyalty to muscle their way to some of the sweetest deals in professional sports. NFL franchises currently receive millions of dollars per year in government assistance to defray their operating cost. The question that must now be asked is how we define in monetary value, so we can afford to have an NFL team for years to come.
The good news is that there is a model on the horizon that turns these old ideas upside down, and makes the tax payer investment in a professional franchise profitable. Yes that is what I said and now I will explain how we are now moving in that direction. The understanding that the venue must be multi-faceted and part of our conference space is the first step.
The other is your multi-use facility must be located in a complex equipped with a hotel, conference center, shopping mall, residential apartments, and office space. All of this creates constant flow of events which will create new revenues that will pay for this luxury we love called Professional sports.
Vintage Pro Sports LLC Development team follows the new model of including a full use development with a modern stadium facility that creates a profitable revenue engine for the region. This philosophy is critical in changing the economic surrounding in which professional sports operate in their respective territories.
Vintage Pro Sports LLC should have a more economic impact to this region that this area has not seen. This is why everyone that sees the vision of the New Coliseum Sports and Entertainment Complex become excited about bringing one of the most beautiful areas on the face of the earth back to life and competitive with the rest of the nation and the world. The days of the taxpayer not receiving a return on their investment must come to an end, and only innovative ideas such as the Vintage Pro Sports LLC plan for a new Coliseum sports and Entertainment complex put forth by world class designers and developers is how we must proceed as a region.
In closing this is the challenge to embrace innovative ideas that improve the region. There is a new day rising in Northern California and we are not turning back. This is the new model that totally embraces a partnership between Professional Sports and this region.
