The Only Free People Are Those With A Lot of Money

Many days, I envision what my life would be like in the next ten years. I can’t imagine spending the rest of my life being enslaved to the “Corporations” and living from paycheck to paycheck. I have a job now that I’m desperately seeking to remove myself from, because it causes a lot of problems with my joints. In fact, I called off from work this morning (12/6), because my right leg was sore. I had sprained my knee on Monday. The nurse at the hospital today gave me a leg braise and a prescription for the pain and swelling. Company managers haven’t made their employees’ well-being one of their top priorities, but yet management is always complaining about the high costs of employee benefits like workers’ compensation and health care.Corporations are no more than modern-day slaveowners.

Your social security number is traded on the stock market. America is one big slave plantation. Corporations like Wal-Mart secretly took out life insurance policies on workers in Florida, and made millions of dollars when the workers died. This news story flew under the public radar until filmmaker Michael Moore made a 2009 documentary, “Capitalism: A Love Story” in which there was a woman in the film talking about how Wal-Mart had taken out a secret life insurance policy on her husband who had been a Wal-Mart employee for many years. When he died, Wal-Mart had received millions of dollars, and didn’t give the woman or her children a dime.

We spend our lives as slaves to the Corporations like Wal-Mart, JPMorgan Chase & Company, AT&T, Fannie Mae, Bank of America, Citibank, the U.S. Government, etc., which exploit our labor and/or keep us in debt slavery. Now, I understand why some people would do anything to get rich. Having millions of dollars in your checking account alleviates a lot of stress that many people otherwise face on a daily basis because they don’t have at least a million dollars and live from paycheck to paybeck. The only free people are those with a lot of money. As long as you have to rise out of your bed to go to a job that you hate but must tolerate to make ends meet, you are a slave to the “Corporation”. Your life has been created for you by those with a lot of money and power. If you have at least a million dollars, you have more freedom than a person making a set salary. Having a lot of money means having many options. These options include not punching a time clock to work often in a hostile work environment, not having to worry about not being able to pay your bills, and not always having to settle for less. People who tell you that money can’t buy happiness are those who don’t have it.

At 38, I’m looking to gain great wealth because I want to be free to explore the world and go on many adventures. I’d like to buy a yacht and sail out to sea with my mother and closest friends. I’d like to visit the ancient ruins of Egypt and see the hieroglyphs in person. I want to see the Mayan temples and experience the greatness of Africa.

America is like one huge glass bubble where everybody is programmed to think a certain way, or programmed to follow and obey the dictates of those who have all the money and power. Every now and then, somebody strays from the straight and narrow path and chooses to not follow the Matrix program. This somebody is multiplied by tens of thousands of likeminded individuals who are tired of all the power and money being concentrated into the hands of a few. I want to be free of the glass bubble, and explore what it’s like to be completely free of debt, free of financial limitations, and free of the Matrix.
